Customer Satisfaction
In 1998, a study conducted in cooperation with the St. Paul/Ramsey County Department of Public Health surveyed people from three groups served by the Living at Home/Block Nurse Program. These groups were:
  • Persons being directly served
  • Family members of those served
  • Other community members with knowledge of the services rendered

An overwhelming response trend showed that people were "very satisfied" with the following program areas.
  • Persons being served--Overall, how satisfied are you with the LAH/BNP in maintaining or improving your quality of life, quality of community relations and in providing services at a reasonable cost? 83.9% Very Satisfied
  • Family of persons being served--Overall, how satisfied are you with the LAH/BNP in maintaining or improving your family member's quality of life, quality of community relations and in providing services at a reasonable cost? 89.2% Very Satisfied
  • Persons being served--Overall, how satisfied are you with the LAH/BNP in maintaining or improving your elder neighbor's quality of life, quality of community relations and in providing services at a reasonable cost? 90.4% Very Satisfied
Efficacy Data:
In the same study, the same three groups were asked, "How likely would you (your family member, your elder neighbor) be able to continue living in your own home and/or community without the assistance of the LAH/BNP?"
  • Persons being served response: 20% not likely to be able to continue living at home.
  • Family member response: 28% not likely to be able to continue living at home.
  • Community member response: 30% not likely to be able to continue living at home.
  • Further differentiating between persons receiving nursing services and those with no nursing:
    1. Persons with nursing response: 29% not likely to be able to continue living at home.
    2. Persons with no nursing response: 14.4% not likely to be able to continue living at home.
