Consumer Directed Services

Consumer Directed Services (CDS) is a program that empowers elders to make decisions about the services they need and want. CDS funds may be used for a broad array of services and supports such as personal care, home modifications and chore services, allowing elders to live an inclusive community life and avoid institutionalization. Elders can hire and train their own family members, neighbors and/or friends, as well as seek and purchase the goods that will support their goals.

If you are already involved with the Consumer Directed process, you can access all the necessary documents through the links below.  If you are a CDS Employee you can access documents in the Employee Packet through the Employee Section below.  Otherwise, there is also some general CDS information below as well.  The MN Department of Human Services also has great information about CDS in general.  You can access this webpage by clicking here.
